In this week’s Economist/YouGov Poll, 43% approve of the way the President is handling his job overall – just above his all-time lows in this poll. 49% disapprove.
But the worries about the economy and its possible impact on the fall election are still dominant. 42% believe the economy is getting worse, a percentage that has increased in the last few months. 54% say the country is headed in the wrong direction – slightly lower than the percentage saying that in recent weeks. Only 15% approve of how the Democratic-controlled Congress is handling its job.
