(Week of 3/9/2013) Being a former First Lady, a former Senator and a former Secretary of State is a good combination. Hillary Clinton has been one of the most popular public figures in the United States for a while, and her popularity typically exceeds that of the President. In this week’s Economist/YouGov Poll, 54% of the public has a favorable view of Clinton, with just 39% unfavorable.

Clinton’s State Department successor, John Kerry, fares nowhere near as well.

Clinton fares positively with men, but is especially admired by women. Female favorable ratings of Clinton outpace unfavorable ones by nearly two to one.
