A new YouGov poll reveals the most (and least) stylish metro areas across America, according to each city's residents

Some people put plenty of time into acquiring the latest hats, trendiest pants, and mattest of matte lipsticks. They wouldn't dare leave their apartment without everything looking and fitting just right. Other people, however, could not care less. They prefer comfortable over style, practicality above pageantry.

Recently, YouGov polled residents of America's 20 most populated metro areas to find out which contained more of the former than the latter. Respondents were asked to rank how fashionable people in their city are on a scale from "very" to "not at all."

As the results below show, New York City came in first place, with 66% of its residents saying people in their city are either "very" or "somewhat" fashionable. Miami-Fort Lauderdale and Dallas-Fort Worth followed, with 61% and 56%, respectively. At the bottom of the list sit Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne (37%), Cleveland (30%), and Seattle-Tacoma (30%).
