Parents think Mickey Mouse rules for rides. Disneyland and Disney World are parents' favorite amusement parks this summer, according to YouGov BrandIndex US data.

The Anaheim, CA and Orlando, FL-based theme park destinations achieved the highest Buzz score of any amusement park with a score of 28.8 during the month of July among parents with children under 18. Parents are putting their money where their mouths are—Disney just reported higher earnings in their fiscal third quarter, with theme parks and resorts revenue rising 12% to $3.17 billion.

In a virtual tie for second place with scores of 21.5 and 21.4 respectively are SeaWorld (with locations in San Diego, Orlando and San Antonio) and Six Flags (which owns 14 properties). Universal Studios came in fourth with a 19.4 score and Busch Gardens further back with a score of 12.

The amusement parks were measured using the YouGov BrandIndex’s Buzz score, which asks respondents: “If you’ve heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”
