After a raft of new product announcements at its June 5th Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose, Apple hit a 16-month consumer perception high with its own customers, apparently making a bigger impact than any product announcement since October 2015.
IPad customer perception scores also shot up for the tablet, following in line with Apple, their highest point since December 2015, when it released its then latest-iteration of the iPad Pro.
Sixteen months ago, Apple announced iMac family updates with Retina displays, and the availability of its new iWatch in Target stores.
At the WWDC in early June, Apple announcements included its latest iPad Pro model, iOS 11, new generation iMac’s and MacBooks, and the HomePod home speaker.
Apple and iPad were measured with YouGovBrandIndex’s Buzz score, which asks respondents "If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?" Results were filtered for customers of Apple and iPad respectively.
A score can range from -100 to 100 with a zero score equaling a neutral position.
