Americans shop most frequently and spend 23.47 minutes on average deciding on a purchase.

A global study conducted by Shopify revealed that when compared to consumers in other countries, US consumers make online purchases twice as much. They were also found to be the most frequent buyers in the world.

The article also notes that the per transaction spending is highest among Japanese consumers, $141.7 on average. US ranks fifth at $81.26 average spending with UK seeing $67.13 average spending per transaction.  

German consumers are the fastest shoppers taking 17.68 minutes on average to decide on an online purchase. Where UK consumers take 19.32 minutes on average, US consumers need 23.47 minutes. Consumers in both UK and the US are comfortable shopping through tablet, mobile and desktop.
