Facebook reported that it has reinstalled reach estimates for Custom Audiences. To that end, it has made three significant changes to privacy, detection and news restriction to improve security.
These restrictions include rate limits which are the number of audiences or API calls an account can have. This tool can curb potential misuse and will not impact most advertisers.
Facebook had stopped showing audience reach estimates more than a year ago due to vulnerabilities in the tool. To address these vulnerabilities, the social media platform has introduced complexities to the rounding logic for reach estimates. It has also improved back-end detection processes to surface potential misuse.
