IAB Technology Laboratory has launched the affiliated Data Transparency Standard Compliance Program, having finalised version 1.0 of the Data Transparency Standard. The program would require data providers to share information on segment quality, how segment recency, provenance and segmentation criteria are being addressed.

The Standard is open for adoption to data marketplaces and organisations that offer data (syndicated separately or bundled with media). The companies that choose to adopt the Standard would be subjected to an annual business audit.

The program would be available to the broader market following a pilot period. The program aims to establish minimum disclosure and transparency standards for companies.
