A research conducted by Coresight revealed that more than three-quarters of people intend to purchase products from “Walmart and/or Amazon” during the holiday season. Nearly 52% of the consumers have indicated moving to Amazon from Walmart.

While 31.8% of people are shifting from Target to Amazon and 23.3% of consumers are switching from Best Buy. 44.5% of those polled stated that they prefer shopping online to avoid “holiday crowds.”

Another 44.2% believe that shopping online saved them the “effort of shopping in-store.” Additionally, 78.9% of respondents expect to buy presents from Walmart, as compared to 78.6% planning to shop from Amazon. 67.6% of participants are planning to buy from both stores and online.
