The study looked at 483 small-to-mid-sized companies which use social networks.
This piece states that Pinterest gets the highest amount of organic social media traffic with a little more than four visitors per 100 followers. Professional networking site LinkedIn and Google-owned YouTube follow with a bit more than two visitors per 100 followers.
Microsoft-owned LinkedIn, however, has the highest audience engagement, followed by Pinterest and Instagram. Instagram’s high engagement level is attributed to it being more of a social networking platform for the consumers. Posts that don’t contain videos or image get the highest level of engagement.
Instagram is also the best social media platform for videos, which is followed by LinkedIn and YouTube. This article states that though the organic reach of marketers on social media is declining, posting more often can improve the traffic.
