In Q3, Pinterest acquired 22 million more monthly active users.
As per Pinterest’s latest performance report, Q3 2019 has brought the platform an additional 22 million users, bringing its monthly active users (MAU) to 322 million. This indicates a 28% YoY increase. The article provides that usage outside US is growing at a faster rate.
In comparison, Twitter added 6 million MUAs in Q3, Snapchat added 7 million more in the same period. Pinterest’s overall revenue saw a 47% YoY increase to $280 million.
Pinterest has also expanded its ad offerings from 19 countries in Q2 to 28 countries in Q3 2019. Following this, the average revenue per user has gone up by 14% YoY. Additionally, the platform has become more shoppable with 75% more merchant catalogues being uploaded in Q3 as compared to Q2.
