Prime members can directly avail the in-car delivery by Amazon during this holiday season.

Amazon is expanding its in-car delivery service, that it launched last year, to 50 US cities in the run-up to the holiday season. To avail the in-car feature, customers will have to order through Amazon Key app and link it to their connected car service accounts.

At the day of delivery, consumers can check on the app if their cars are parked within the range of delivery and track the delivery of their package. Consumers can also opt for same-day delivery in 46 major metropolitan areas with more than 10 million items being eligible for free one-day delivery.

The in-car delivery by Amazon is compatible with cars from Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Volvo and Ford. Rivals Walmart and Target are also offering similar same-day fulfilment delivery options.
