Snapchat conducted an in-app survey in the US to understand Gen Z’s shopping intentions for the holiday season.

85% of Snapchat users said they plan to participate in the winter holiday season. Though the majority of respondents said they would do part of their holiday shopping in-store, Gen Z is about 20% less likely to be overwhelmed about the holidays.

When compared to the older generations, the young demographic said they are 40% more likely to plan their purchases less than a week in advance. Two out of three Gen Zers plan to spend $250 or more this holiday season.

Gen Z Snapchat users are also 20% more likely to be buying gifts for friends this holiday season when compared to older users. Various research reports have found that most of Snapchat’s audience come affluent households.
