It will not use IAB’s standard contracts since it has its own product-specific ones.

Google will adopt IAB Tech Lab’s technical specs for compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) by 1 Jan, 2020. Google will integrate these specs within AdSense, AdMob, Google Ad Manager and DV360.

The specs allow real-time bidding transactions while restricting the use of data if consumers opt-out of selling their personal information. Google said that it would enable advertisers and publishers to limit the way data is processed and “disable personalised ad serving through its ad products”.

This move is aimed at helping publishers, advertisers and ad tech partners abide by the law. The IAB CCPA compliance framework is two-pronged, where limited service provider agreements outline the scope of using consumer data in a bid request, and technical specs define the contract’s execution.
