HBO Max that launches in May would follow too.

As per a new distribution deal signed by WarnerMedia and YouTube TV, the latter’s customers will be able to add on Cinemax or HBO to their existing subscription. Audiences would also be able to opt for WarnerMedia’s DTC streaming service, HBO Max, once it launches in May 2020.

HBO Max comprises the HBO library, films from Warner Bros, third-party licensed programs and 31 Max Originals. Together with HBO series, HBO Max will stream 69 originals in its first year.

HBO Max would cost $14.99 per month and offer 10,000 hours of film and TV. The author comments on the development noting that the deal comes at a time when WarnerMedia is looking to grow its distribution partnerships against upcoming competition from the likes of NBCU’s Peacock.
