Facebook has released a report focusing on the growth of messaging use as a business tool.
The piece states that with the majority of consumers preferring to messaging a brand over calling a business organisation, there has been a growth in the messaging use. But, user expectations are also rising and 71% of customers expect businesses to communicate with them in real-time.
Facebook said that the travel sector, in particular, is witnessing more growth in messaging use. 77% of travellers are open to using a messaging app to interact with brands.
The social media giant says that roughly 40 million companies are active on Messenger and more than 20 billion messages are sent between people and businesses on the platform each month. The report further highlights that consumers are embracing messaging over calls.
