According to an Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) report, US programmatic ad spending accounted for $67.342 billion in 2019.
The report states that the US programmatic media buys now accounts for 85% of all digital ad spending. Programmatic ad spending in the US observed an increase of nearly 87% increase from 2017, which is the first year benchmarked in the report.
The US programmatic ad spend is forecasted to increase by 15% to 90.1 billion in 2021. The ad spends for the year 2020 is predicted to be at $78.943 billion.
Though the report does not exclusively focus on programmatic advertising, the growth of ad spend is attributed to the arising data enabling programmatic buys. The estimates of ad spend revenue are from IAB’s “Brand Disruption 2020” report.
