Major advertising and marketing trade bodies in the UK have aligned to create the UK Advertising Export Group (UKAEG) to increase business in international markets. UKAEG is fully supported by the British government with the DIT providing financial support.
Janet Hull, director of marketing strategy at the IPA, has been appointed chair of UKAEG. She states that the UKAEG would support its members to deliver 50% revenue growth by 2023. It also means to “safeguard the UK’s position as a global advertising hub”, says Hull.
UKAEG will showcase UK’s advertising to global audiences through a digital marketing campaign, by participating in South by Southwest (SXSW) and Advertising Week Europe 2020, among other initiatives. The export is also backed by the Data and Marketing Association, the Advertising Association among others bodies.
