GlobalWebIndex examined consumers in the US and the UK are responding to the coronavirus outbreak.
The research found that the behavioural pattern of the UK and US consumers regarding coronavirus pandemic differs for different generations. While 96% of the Gen Zs are concerned about the outbreak of the disease, the number reduces to 90% for baby boomers.
75% of baby boomers have made changes to their daily lives as opposed to 90% of Gen Zs due to the Coronavirus outbreak. 6 out of 10 people are now washing their hands more frequently whereas 3 out of 10 people are trying to avoid touching public surfaces.
Nearly 30% of the millennials are checking social media as opposed to 15% of baby boomers. The article also states that more than half of consumers think a global recession is likely to take place.
