“Here For You” will assist the people feeling isolated due to COVID-19 lockdowns.
Snapchat announced the launch of its new “Here For You” mental health resource centre for its users this week. “Here For You” is the in-app support to the Snapchat users who might be experiencing a mental or emotional crisis, especially during coronavirus isolation lockdowns.
The new feature has links to relevant resources and exercises that can help people to deal with mental health issues. It also includes the launch of a COVID-19 focused Snap Lens that shares information on ways to reduce the risk of infection.
The multimedia messaging app is also building a “customized search section” to showcase relevant updates from organizations like WHO, among others. It will partner with bodies like Active Minds to provide content that addresses the mental health concerns of Snapchat users.
