Where and how they shop has also been impacted for 65% of Generation Z and 72% millennials and 72% Generation X. There has been a 62% increase in the consumer shopping frequently online.
Gen Z, Millennials and Gen X reported a 37%, 42%, and 35% increase in their online shopping respectively. Further, 49% of those polled are shopping less frequently in-store. Anticipating a “greater coronavirus spread”, 38% of Baby Boomers are going easy on their spending. Additionally, 34% of Baby Boomers admitted to stockpiling groceries.
