COVID-19 posts will be available to all listings from healthcare to organisations and local restaurants.
Companies using Google My Business listings can now access a new type of post to host any pandemic related announcements like operating hours, inventory updates and others. The posts will be pinned on top of a business’s profile in the local search, allowing brands to publish other posts below.
The information relating to COVID-19 will remain published for 14 days, after which a business may have to repost the information if still relevant. COVID-19 posts wouldn’t allow any other media types and will be restricted to text only.
Additionally, brands can only publish COVID-19 posts from the desktop version of Google My Business. The posts, however, will be displayed in both mobile and desktop search.
