TruePublic looked at how Americans’ are planning to react after the lockdown is lifted.

The survey highlights that consumer behaviour post lockdown will depend upon the availability of a coronavirus vaccine. Consumer opinion is almost split down the middle about going back to the regular routine after the social distancing is over.

52% of the surveyed respondents said that they would consider travelling outside the US only after a vaccine is found. But, 61% said they are ready to travel within the US, soon after isolation ends irrespective of the availability of vaccines.

Restaurants are likely to get less affected as 55% of people aged 16-35 years said that they are ready to go out to eat at restaurants as soon as the isolation ends. 19% of the survey respondents would continue online purchases even after a vaccine is available.
