With schools closed and millions working from home, multiple studies are pointing to an unprecedented rise in mobile gaming usage in the US. Verizon, the largest US wireless carrier, reported a 75% increase in mobile gaming data usage during March 2020. Increased mobile gaming has also been reported from countries like China and Italy.

A study by digital advertiser Jun Group found that 77% of those who said they were working from home were playing mobile games “several times a day.” The group also reported a 138% rise in ad requests from March 5 to April 5, 2020.
