Consumer behaviour has been constantly evolving during the pandemic.
The “rising retail categories’ tool, which has been launched in the US, UK and Australia, has been designed to track product searches that are gaining popularity. It will also allow for a deeper dive into customer behaviour than that was currently possible under Google trends.
The data will be updated every day and will let retailers and marketers look at consumer demand on a day to day basis. Marketers will also be able to filter according to category, country and time frame.
It will also enable marketers to delve deeper into categories and look at exact queries that customers are looking at. The search engine giant said the tool will help marketers be prepared for the dynamic fluctuations in consumer demand.
