While International travel faces uncertainty, domestic travel looks set to grow.
Around 29% of Britons expect to spend more on domestic holidays after the COVID-19 pandemic is over, according to a YouGov poll. While a majority (55%) do not expect any difference, 10% said they expect to spend less.
The survey had asked Brits if they’ve expected to spend more or less on specific categories than before the 23rd of March when the lockdown was announced. The one sector that might be negatively affected post-lockdown are TV subscriptions, 17% said they will cut back on subscriptions.
32% of those also expected to eat out more often once the pandemic ends, while 15% said they expected to eat out less. Concurrently, around 14% said they expected to order more takeaways then before, while 64% expected no change.
