Muck Rack has globally surveyed PR professionals at various official hierarchies, to understand how PR teams are adapting to the crisis.
The top challenge for PR officials during COVID-19 is the loss in business clients/revenue, with 54% of PR people vouching for it. Further, the majority of the respondents said the top ways to increase value for public relation experts are earning coverage and measurable results.
Most of these professionals believe that the most effective way to pitch journalists is one-on-one emails. 80% of PR professionals believe personalization, customization or a relevant topic are the most important things to include in a pitch.
The survey further revealed that 44% of PR professionals said COVID-19 can have a significant effect on their budgeting. But, 63% of PR experts said their budget will either increase or remain the same over the next year.
