For brands to grow their YouTube channels they must focus on a single topic and content series, optimise and refine their content, and ask people to subscribe.

Marketers must focus on creating “hub content” which means creating episodic content wherein format, schedule, cast and topic are consistent. Having done this, businesses must create more content that people have been rewatching and ditch the content that is costing viewers.

Gradually, watch time must be increased and content must improve on its quality. The author recommends asking consumers that have made it to the end of a video to subscribe to the channel.
