Following this, external linking is seen as the third most important factor for search optimisation among SEO experts. However, 41% of SEOs say link-building is the most difficult part of search optimisation.
42% of SEOs say they spend equal time on external and internal link building. Of those polled, 13% believe that link building is the most valuable SEO tactic. 65% of marketers look at domain authority to determine link quality. 48% look to domain rating and 36% see page authority.
Page ranking is the top KPI used by 38% of marketers to measure link-building efforts. Long-form content tends to receive an average of 77.2% of more links than short articles.
