Searches for “positivity” would be up 64% on Pinterest in the fall season

Pinterest’s latest report reveals a spike in search volume as compared to the same time in 2019.

Pinterest’s updated search trends report aims to guide social media marketers’ effort through the fall season. With consumers each year seeing the start of September as a “second new year”, searches for “positivity” could go up 64% on the platform in the season.

Gen Z Pinterest search insights revealed that “self-love” and “safe havens” are the defining search behaviours for the demographic. Searchers for “Mental health check-in” are up five times, while “Mindful eating” was up 44%. “Photoshoot ideas” and “Zen bedroom ideas” surged 56 times and five times respectively, for Gen Z.

Millennials are looking to keeping themselves and their children busy as “Mental health activities for children” searches increased 3.5 times. “Occupational therapy for children” is up two times.
