MarTech’s recent Event Participation Index found that nearly 68% of marketers would attend virtual events only in the first half of 2021.
As per the report, travelling for in-person events in 2020, was scored two out of 10 among marketers. However, when asked about attending conferences, trade shows and more in the second of half of 2021, marketers ticked six out 10.
Attending in-person events in the first half of the next year was scored four out of 10. While many companies transformed in-person events into virtual, 67% said they would pay to attend virtual events. Of these, most marketers would pay between $99 to $499 to attend virtual events.
47% of marketers preferred few hours of virtual programs spread throughout the day. Another 35% of marketers favour half-day programs spread over several days.
