Retailers’ online listings must be complete.

Google has rolled out a guide which contains key trends and information about consumer behaviour that marketers must be aware of heading into the 2020 holiday season. To avoid crowds and missing out on their favourite products, 62% of American shoppers plan to begin shopping earlier this year.

46% of Americans shopping online are expecting offers and discounts from retailers. The guide further provides that on a YoY basis, searches for products that are “best affordable” have gone up 60% globally.

In a greater capacity than previous years, 69% of shoppers in the US would shop online this holiday season. 77% of shoppers would look to browse for gift ideas online in 2020. To leverage the opportunities such consumer behaviour presents, Google recommends that brands streamline their digital processes.
