This article cites a study conducted by Unruly and Tremor Video that looked to study consumer attitudes, and their expectations and plans for the 2020 holiday season. The report found that half of the holiday shopping of 75% US consumers would be carried out online.
Over 53% respondents plan to increase the frequency at which they shop online. Households with an annual income of over $100,000 would make at least half of their holiday purchases online.
The report also found that 57% of participants want holiday advertising content to cheer them up. 40% are looking for warmth from it, 35% wish to be inspired by ad content and 30% are hopeful for nostalgia.
