All advertisers in the US would now be able to tie their adverts to a holiday or special occasion.

The new “Promotion Extensions” enable advertisers on Microsoft Advertising to showcase a special offer or a special deal in their text ad. They can also tie their adverts with special occasions like Black Friday, Chinese New Year or Back to School.

Advertisers would be able to select the type of offer or discount and then clarify which items are included in the promotion. Microsoft has also provided an optional customisation feature, which would enable advertisers to clarify offer requirements and promotion details like “on order over $5”.

The Windows-company has further enabled advertisers to mention the offer deadline. Advertisers would also be able to run promotion extensions before the start date or provide a promotion code in advance for an upcoming sale.
