Majority of IT-decision makers say data is the key to recovery from the economic crisis

Teradata and Vanson Bourne conducted a study to highlight the role of data analytics in the path to recovery.

With 88% of IT-decision makers viewing data as a strategic asset to their business, the importance of data is growing. Nine out of 10 leaders also said the importance of data in the decision-making process has increased manifold amid the pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, 82% of decision-makers are accelerating decisions to move data and critical business functions to the cloud. Around 95% of them think data is not only an essential asset to the business but also the key to recovery from the pandemic and the way to move forward.

The accuracy of data has also become an essential factor in the age of COVID-19. Around 77% of leaders say they are scrutinising data accuracy within their organisations.
