Bizzabo’s recent analysis highlights how virtual events are affecting audience reach and the future of hybrid events.
A survey of mid-senior level marketers found more than 80% of marketers reported that the shift to virtual events has led to a greater audience reach. Event marketers are also optimistic about 2021, with 20% of them even planning to increase their event marketing budget for the coming year.
Around 97% of marketers said they expected hybrid events would become more common in the future. But, 61% of marketers are yet to collaborate with a production company to execute the virtual aspects of those events.
Bizzabo’s cofounder Alon Alroy said, “Based on our findings, those who don’t become fluent in virtual event technology will likely get left behind in 2021”. Alroy further added that hybrid events, which would meaningfully integrate in-person and virtual experiences, would prevail.
