The American multimedia messaging app rolled out new options for app promotions, including improved integration and cross-linking tools. It would let app developers connect with Snap’s audience by cross-linking their app function with the messaging platform.

With the latest update, Snapchat aims to enable app marketers to better connect with the platform’s young and engaged audiences. By opening its platform to outside contributions, Snapchat is also looking to build a broader ecosystem to better compete with Facebook and other social media platforms.

App marketers would be able to connect their app data into Snap’s Dynamic Lenses that provide means to display app info within AR promotions. Snap said it has also improved its deep-linking process to encourage more engagement in apps.
