It is the first time that the American social news aggregator site has published its daily active user count.
California-based Reddit now has 52 million active daily users. Though compared to other popular social platforms, Reddit has a smaller user base; it is growing at a rapid pace. The company said the daily usage on the platform grew by 44% YoY for October this year.
Twitter has 187 million daily users, while Snapchat has 249 million and Facebook has 1.82 billion. But, Reddit is better placed than its rivals in terms of daily usage growth, as Twitter reported a 29% YoY growth, followed by Snapchat at 18% and Facebook at 12%.
Earlier in the past, Reddit has published monthly active user count. The numbers have been released as the site is looking to grow its advertising business and “… to be more in-line with industry reporting”.
