Digital PR terms hit a peak in October 2019 with a global search volume of 200,000, a limit next crossed only in July 2020.
Fractl and SEMRush’s report revealed a shift in search volumes for marketing goals like building brand awareness, between January 2019 and October 2020. Terms associated with the results of building backlinks surged initially before trending downwards.
Search volume terms linked to marketing goals like boosting brand authority and improved SEO maintained a constant growth. While email marketing terms didn’t perform well during the beginning of 2019, they largely saw an increase in global search volume July 2019 onwards.
Volume of content marketing terms have seen sustained increase in search volume before plateauing at 200,000 from April to October 2020. SEO and PPC saw low volumes at the start of 2019 followed by a spike later in the spring of 2020.
