A separate set of requirements for video types like In-stream, Live, and Gaming would be required to be eligible for monetisation.
Facebook is rolling out new updates to help creators monetise videos in more ways and boost revenue. The new video monetisation updates include earning revenue from short-form videos, expanded eligibility, and making earnings from viewer contributions more accessible.
Pages with a total of 600,000 minutes of views from any combination of videos in the past 60 days are eligible for in-stream ads in regular videos, live-streams, and live stream recordings. Creators with five or more active videos or live videos, complying with the company’s monetisation policies can monetise videos.
Further, viewers can send “Stars” as digital currency to reward creators during a live stream. The “Stars” revenue will be shared between Facebook and the creators. The monetisation program can be accessed from the Creator Studio.
