A Verizon-Morning Consult study highlights major lifestyle changes in the US, driven by COVID-19.
The study shows that many employees who have adjusted to remote work in 2020 would prefer working remotely or in a hybrid capacity. Around half of the employees also said they would consider changing jobs to continue remote or hybrid work.
Because of the pandemic, people are spending more time on streaming sites. Traffic on major streaming platforms increased by 21% from pre-pandemic levels. More than half of Americans also reported spending at least three hours per week on streaming services.
Americans are also spending significant time playing games on their mobile devices. As a result of the pandemic, consumers are expected to shop online and in-person in an equal measure. Interestingly, only 16% of consumers expect to shop “mostly online” after 12 months.
