DuckDuckGo’s global share is 0.63%

DuckDuckGo has expanded significantly with its key USP being that it does not collect users’ private data.

With 98.79 million on average search queries per day, DuckDuckGo’s average daily searches increased 9.17 times since January 2015 and the search engine is poised to increase its market traction. DuckDuckGo’s annual search volume was up 56.8% in 2020 compared to 2019.

All-time searches surpassed 71.9 billion on DuckDuckGo and its current global market share among search engines is 0.63%. In the US, the search engine holds a 2.45% market share in 2021. The search engine has claim to 0.88% global share of the desktop share market.

This figure is 2.41% for the US market for DuckDuckGo, while 2.42% use the search engine on mobile. Further, DuckDuckGo recorded 400,000 iPhone downloads in February 2021, while 800,000 android users downloaded the browser in the past month.
