A recent Top Design Firms report found 50% of consumers believe a company's website design is crucial for their overall success.
Around half of consumers reported that their impressions about companies are dependent on the company website's design. 31% of consumers also believe that while designing a website, a company's primary focus should be on creating an engaging user experience.
40% of consumers prefer to see images when visiting websites, while 39% prefer seeing colours and 21% prefer videos. These numbers indicate consumers want multiple experiences on a website.
IdeaScale's Co-founder Jessica Day said, "It's important to have multiple ways of sharing messages because not everyone is drawn to the same content types." The article suggests companies should frequently update their website designs to meet changing customer expectations and leaving a positive first impression on first-time visitors.
