A recent study from Jungle Scout found a significant majority of brands opt to advertise their products on Amazon.
With the pandemic forcing people to stay at home, e-commerce saw an unprecedented boom, and Amazon was one of the biggest beneficiaries of subsequent windfall. It has also resulted in Amazon becoming the starting point for the majority of shopper journeys.
Around 74% of consumers begin their product searches on the “Everything Store”. More than half of US consumers said that if they could only buy products from a single store, it would be Amazon.
Additionally, 37% of Americans said that though their overall spending is lower than usual, their online spending has increased. Because of that, 34% of Amazon sellers are increasing their advertiser spending on Amazon in 2021. Around 75% of sellers use at least one type of Amazon PPC advertising.
