71% of Gen Z prefer tailored experiences

Sitecore and Halls & Partners’ report highlights trends brands could leverage to enhance digital experiences for Gen Z consumers.

COVID-19 has changed Gen Z consumers' preferences, beliefs, and desires, driving the "cancel culture" that threatens brands’ survival. According to the report, Gen Z (63%) have less tolerance towards slow or poorly performing websites, and 37% abandon purchases or leave negative reviews due to bad digital experiences.

Of those polled, 57% of consumers reported being less loyal to brands before COVID-19. 71% of Gen Z prefer personalised experiences, followed by optimised mobile websites and web apps (53%), and brands remembering their shopping preferences (46%).

Price (66%), reviews (60%), brand values (43%), and more are the factors US Gen Z consumers consider while trusting a brand, as per a Bluecore report. Further, 69% of Gen Z consumers prioritised protecting the environment and building a sustainable future.
