Previously, Google has had experiences with small pop-up stores.

This summer, Google will open its first physical retail store in New York City (NYC). The store, which will be a part of Google's campus in Chelsea, will display and sell a variety of products, including Pixel phones, Nest smart home devices, Fitbit trackers, and more.

Customers can order items from Google's online stores and pick them up at the physical store. Further, similar to an Apple Store, the Google Store will demonstrate how Google products work together, as well as have in-store expertise to help troubleshoot issues, work on repairs, and more.

While customers can try out the products on display at the store, the Google Store will still be taking COVID-19 safety precautions and protocols. Consumers will be required to wear face masks, socially distance from each other, among other precautions.
