Tapjoy conducted a survey among United States residents between 18 and 24 years old in February 2021.

The survey found 86% of Gen Z use mobile devices for gaming, while 42% use console/handheld devices and 38% play on a PC. 68% of Gen Z consumers shop on mobile around one to four times a week.

While 60% of Gen Z frequently purchase to-go food or delivery, 57% of them make frequent retail purchases on mobile. Gen Z also prefers branded apps and ecommerce storefronts through rewarded offers in mobile games and Instagram ads to make purchases.

Zoomers are avid followers of retail brands on social platforms. 65% of them follow clothing and fashion brands on social media. They are also most likely to prefer humorous branded content.
