Accenture's Business Futures 2021 study revealed that 92% businesses plan to or have increased using more micro-fulfilment centres.

The report has shared signals businesses must focus on to secure future success. Anticipating the future, restructured supply chains, decentralised decision-making are some of those signals. Tracking these signals could be critical as 88% of firms now have a clear perspective of the challenges they face today.

With COVID-19 disrupting business models for many, 58% of brands plan to change their business model next year. In the last 12 months, 77% of businesses increased the usage of internal and external sources of real-time data to inform decisions.

With companies now taking environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives seriously, only 24% of leaders would lower ESG investments to favour earnings guidance. With COVID-19 restricting physical interactions, businesses plan to build and invest more in virtual environments.
