Ned’s Job of the Week (JOTW) survey of PR professionals found that 66% of companies have a formal diversity and inclusion (DEI) strategy.
According to the report, 80% of communicators reported that their organisations are now laying greater emphasis on the value of communication. 93% of those surveyed believe the importance of employee communication grew in 2020.
54% respondents expect any extra work to be outsourced to outside agencies. “Cutting through the noise” was a challenge reported by 37% of those polled. With regards to ethnic diversity, 13% of businesses have created a DEI program following 2020’s racial movement.
Also, 21% of PR pros believe companies should take a stand on political matters on a regular or frequent basis. 60% participants measure communication efforts often or always. Moreover, communicators said media relations has been more challenging since 2019.
