The Cards will motivate creators to grow their channel while increasing activity on YouTube.

YouTube is introducing new Achievement Cards for creators, which will be displayed within the YouTube Studio dashboard, to encourage creators to hit channel milestones. As channels reach certain levels in various areas, a new emoji-based achievement notification will appear in the YouTube Studio.

YouTube notes that creators can view cards when they reach certain milestones, like reaching a specific number of subscribers. Over the next few months, the company will be experimenting with Achievement Cards.

Timed comments, which allow users to refer to specific moments in videos using timestamps, will be made available to iOS and Android users as well. Additionally, videos that were not listed before 1 January, 2017 will be changed to “Private.” Users who want their videos to remain unlisted should opt-out before 23 July.
